Our organizations are New York-based providing services to West, East, and Southern Africa, as well as the Caribbean. 

Having Purpose Entertainment is intended to expand artists’ involvement in the community allowing them to be socially engaged in community development.

Kevoy Burton

Jamaican born-international actor, television personality, brand ambassador, & marketer

He moved from Jamaica to Ghana in March 2020. He first visited Ghana in 2019 to shoot the official film for The Year of Return, ‘Joseph.’ He is now a television host for MX24 Ghana, television host for a Canadian-based TV station, Feva TV, a Brand Manager for the largest Jamaican brand in Ghana, JamRock, Brand Ambassador for Woodin Fabrics, one of the largest distributors of African Print materials in Africa, and the Marketing Specialist for TVAnywhere. 

Kevoy has become a TikTok star in Ghana with almost 25k followers in 4 months through his videos comparing both the Jamaican and Ghanaian culture. Many Jamaican visitors have come to Ghana through his promotion of the cultures through humor. As Brand Manager for JamRock, Kevoy authentically promulgates the Jamaican culture in Ghana while growing the brand through West Africa and the Caribbean.

As a Digital Marketing Analyst for TVAnywhere, Kevoy is responsible for catapulting the brand as the best content aggregator in Africa. Kevoy boldly represents both the Jamaican and Ghanaian brands as an unofficial ambassador for both countries while encouraging people to ‘just visit and see if you like it.’ Kevoy is the proud father of two boys. Pamela Hall aka Pam Hall

Singer, songwriter, producer & a publisher

She has been in the business of music for over forty years. As a solo artist, she has released twelve albums and many singles. She has been on several charts worldwide, with hits such as ‘Perfidia’, ‘I’ll Always Love You’, ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’, ‘Sweetest Sound’, ‘Dear Boopsie’, ‘Truly’, ‘Unbreak My Heart’, ‘You Are Not Alone’, ‘I Won’t Stop Loving You’ and many others. Pam has been the recipient of several Music Awards both in Jamaica and Internationally.

She has also provided background vocals and vocal arrangements for many of her fellow artists. These included Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, Third World, Melody Makers, Wailers, I Threes, Queen Latifah, and others. 

As a solo artist Pam has toured the world sharing the stage with top artists like Hugh Roy, Dennis Brown, Gregory Issacs, Jimmy Cliff, Toots, Third World, Culture, Burning Spear, Beres Hammond, Barrington Levy, Half Pint, Shaggy, Ken Boothe, Beenie Man, Shaka Demus and Pliers, Fab5 and many others. She has worked with international acts such as Jermaine Stewart, Betty Wright, Tina Turner, The Fugees, Aretha Franklin, Denise Williams, Ben E. King, The Manhattan’s, Lucky Dube, and many others. 

As her experience in the business widened and deepened, she took on additional roles.

Pam has served as a Jamaica Association of Composers, Authors and Publishers (JACAP) and Jamaica Music Society (JAMMS) board member and counts this as a part of her contribution to the continued building of Jamaica’s music business.

Areas of great interest for Pam are the environment as well as sports.  She is a member of the environmental group, Artistes for Climate Change Education.  Pam has written songs reflecting her interest in both areas.

Pablo Hoilett

Producer/writer/director

He served eight and a half years as Producer/Director of JBC TV’s “Lime Tree Lane”. He attended Banff School of Fine Arts in Alberta Canada and the Jamaica School of Drama (now Edna Manley College for the Visual & Performing Arts). 

Mr. Hoilett has over fifty theatrical productions to his name. Reggae musicals: Ginger Knight’s “Dis A Reggae”, Louis Marriott’s “How to Make Money”, and Devon Morgan’s “Backslider”. Gloria Lannaman’s “Stanley, Fay, Pularchie, and P”. Comedies: “The Love List”, “Key for Two”, “When the Cat’s Away”, “Birthday Suite”, “Office Chase”, “Rassonova”, “The Jamaica Big Brother House”, “The Owl & The Pussycat”, etc. 

Mr. Hoilett’s work is known internationally – Theatres, Television and Cable stations throughout the USA, Canada, The UK, and The Caribbean have hosted his productions, which usually showcase some of Jamaica’s most extraordinary talents such as Carl Bradshaw, Oliver Samuels, Volier Johnson, Fae Ellington, Audrey Reid.  He is a former Chairman of the Board for Sistren Theatre Collective.

He is particularly interested in developing projects that seek to create positive behavioral changes for the greater good of society. Discovering and developing new talents is one of his major goals, and he hopes one day to be able to access funding to bring to reality several indigenous Jamaican theatre/film/video projects. 

As a guiding philosophy, he believes that many great and worthy accomplishments may be achieved through discipline, passion, thoroughness, and consistent effort.

Patricia Zyon Panton

Music Producer

She repatriated from Jamaica to Ghana. She has produced songs like “Angola,” for her Sun Isis Entertainment label.  She is the Director of Entertainment and Tours at Vacationing with Purpose-Ghana. Her goal is to ensure that our artists, bands, and partners have an awesome and enriching experience while working with us to execute projects.

Kha-Benneh Bangura aka JayArr

Sierra Leone-born, Reggae Singer/Songwriter

He hailed from humble beginnings in Magburaka, a small town in the northern province of Sierra Leone. JayArr started out singing around the house to songs of his idols, Bob Marley, Lucky Dube and Alpha Blondy. He has hits such as I am born “Sierre Leonean”, and “Win”.  He performed “Secret Lover” with Amy “Ray of Beauty” LIVE @ Zanzibar on the Waterfront, Washington DC…Opening for Maxi Priest October 3, 2009. Some of his most prolific albums are African Child, Here 2 Stay, and Born Sierra Leonean. He is the founder of GOOD- Gift of One Desk a nonprofit he started in 2021 to provide students with desks in overcrowded schools in Sierra Leone where 2-4 students have to share a desk.
